Progress so far . . .

Well, I have my Pooley's CRP-1 calculator (off EBay), Flight Simulator installed on the PC, Memory Map VFR chart software (also off EBay) and a vague plan as to how I'm actually going to afford to get into the air.

Welcome

The title of this blog may turn out to be optimistic. I decided, about a week and a half ago now, that I would set a goal of learning to fly and obtaining my Private Pilot's license. The reason for starting the blog is to keep track of my progress and of resources I find along the way. It will also become, I hope, a record of a journey towards a long-held ambition.
